Bow for a Beau

Hi Guys

Todays post is about a new company in my hometown of Cork. Beau is a company which makes hand-made bow ties which come in many different colours, fabrics and sizes each with their own unique design. The company was started by Brian Caffin a parisian who moved to Cork in 2005 who has since become one of our own. Brian says his designs are based on the bow ties that his grandfather used to wear back home in Paris.

I find that bow ties really add something to an outfit and can be a good statement piece that brings an outfit to life. Beau also offers a bespoke service in which you can have your own bow-tie made to suit your taste and personality. For this service you can contact them on their website or through their Facebook page. The bows can be bought through their website or can be found in Salingers Menswear boutique in Cork City.

Beau has found somewhat of a celebrity following in recent months with celebrities such as funnyman Chris O’Dowd and his Moone Boy co-star David Rawle posting on twitter about their love of the Beau bow tie. I have had the pleasure of purchasing one of these beautiful bow-ties and I have to say the quality of the fabric is first class and they are also pre-tied and very easy to tie and remove which is always a bonus, while I have yet to wear this fabulous bow-tie I look forward to the day that I do. The bow-tie featured in the main image is the Dorothy which retails at €30 but the prices vary for each one. Beau also sell matching pocket squares for a number of different bow ties. I hope you guys will check out this site and admire the different types and wonderful bow ties that Beau has to offer.

Dave
