TM Lewin Fit for Friday

I was asked recently by the guys at TM Lewin to style a look that will take you from the office to having drinks with your work mates that evening, hence the name Fit for Friday! I know a lot of workplaces tend to have a casual Friday dress code and this does tend to cause a lot of problems because a lot of people do tend to take the word casual to the extreme! i.e jeans and trainers. The pieces I have put together will have you gents looking smart for work, but also good enough for any dress code for any pub that you and your workmates visit on a Friday after work. All of the pieces in this post not only work well together but are staples in any stylish man’s wardrobe. First up is the Harrison Herringbone Jacket in navy/blue is a really versatile piece. This would look really smart at work or any occasion that requires a smart dress code. At £149/€195, it is quite affordable and made of fine materials, therefore, should last you for a really long time.

If you work in a stuffy office, you are not going to be wearing your blazer or
suit all day, so underneath I have added the Burnham Navy Cardigan to maintain that smart look throughout the day. This is again very affordable at £55/€69 and the quality is second to none. It is made of merino wool so it light and breathable, which is perfect for a warm office and pub.

Staying away from the classic white shirt, I thought this blue gingham shirt in slim fit is a great alternative and really fits in with the blue theme for the top half of this outfit. At £39.95/€52, it is a bargain as it comes from Jermyn Street, the home of shirt making and it is also non-iron which is a bonus.

Next up, we have a pair of Cassidy camel chinos, which go really well with the other colours in this outfit and are a classic menswear item. They are also a steal at £44.95/€59, but can be bought for less if you buy them from one of the many deals on the TM Lewin website.

Finally, we come to the shoes. Now they say shoes make or break an outfit, well these Farthing tan brogues add a nice finishing touch. At £89/ €134 they are slightly more expensive than their competitors, but shoes are something worth investing in.

Classy Camel

Hi guys

Here is a pic of the outfit I wore to my sister Danielle’s graduation recently the main focus to this look is the camel blazer that I bought in the clearance section on the Topman website a little while back for a bargain £26!! Such a classic piece for any mans wardrobe I couldn’t leave it behind. I decided to style it with a navy jumper, a white shirt, navy polka dot tie, dark jeans and a pair of double monk strap shoes.

One Republic Concert Style

Hi Guys

Sorry its been a while I’ve been really busy with work and a project I have been working on all will be revealed at a later date. Here is a picture from a One Republic Concert I went to recently with my girlfriend Sandra. The concert was amazing and I would really recommend that you go see them as they bring a lot of energy to their performances and Ryan Tedder is an amazing vocalist. The concert took place in the 3 Arena in Dublin. Here is my highlight from the concert One Republics version of Hozier’s Take me to Church. youtube user Avr1916 owns the rights to this video.

Seeing as I dont live in Dublin we stayed in the Spencer Hotel based in Dublin’s business and financial sector of the city. Its a very stylish boutique hotel and it is really reasonably priced for hotels in dublin given that there was a concert on that night. We ate in the East restaurant which is based in the Hotel and the food and drink was fantastic and again reasonably priced so all in all it was a winner and again highly recommended.

Now to fashion. The outfit I am wearing is as follows

Tweed Blazer: Burton

Shirt: Pop-Boutique Vintage Store

Jeans: River Island

Shoes: Topman

Pocket Square: Topman

Sandra’s Outfit

Blazer: Dunnes Stores

Top: Penneys/Primark

Jeans: River Island

Shoes: Penneys/Primark

Here is my outfit from the next day
