This post has been in the making for a while but having seen The Theory of Everything recently, I felt that the timing couldn’t be more perfect. I will be honest, I first saw Eddie on GQ magazine years ago and I didn’t have a clue who he was!! I became more and more familiar with Eddie as my magazine collection grew larger and having seen Eddie feature regularly on GQ’s weekly best dressed list (He once featured 4 times in the one week!!) it became quite clear to me that he is one of the most stylish guys around. He makes everything look stylish and effortless. Everything he wears always seems to look good on him, whether it is a red carpet event or just popping down to the shops.
The ability to dress like this has obviously paid off as Eddie has recently been named GQ’s Best Dressed Man for 2015 beating off stiff competition from other stylish men such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Tinie Tempah, David Beckham and even Prince George!! It came as no surprise to me that he won when as mentioned earlier he features regularly on their weekly best dressed list. Now that his star has risen even more due to the recent success of his latest movie The Theory of Everything, he is definitely going to have bring his A-game on a regular basis.
Here are some of Eddies finer style moments
Get The Look
Seeing as Eddie is pictured regularly all suited and booted, I thought it would be best to offer you a chance to copy both a smart and a casual look from the best dress man of 2015 so far.
Here is Eddie in a beautiful blue tartan suit from one of the many premieres that he attended for his recent movie The Theory of Everything. Tartan is a trend that looks to be going nowhere any time soon.
Next on my list of style icons is a German model who should need no introduction, yes you guessed it it’s Johannes Huebl. Also known as the better half of fashionista Olivia Palermo, Johannes has developed himself as a style icon and has shown he is more than capable of matching Olivia in the style stakes. Johannes has stated that he learned to style himself when he went to boarding school in Dublin, Ireland. He also stated that his interest escalated when his best friend introduced him to a tailor. For any mans wardrobe a good tailor is essential. They can make the necessary adjustments to make any item fit perfect. Johannes also speaks about how important the fit of clothing is to a persons appearance and confidence. Here is a video from Mr Porter called the way I dress featuring Johannes and it will explain better about his style and dress sense
Johannes Huebl is big fan of tailoring but he likes to keep it simple with his accessories also quite simple pairing his suit with a classic watch and pocket square. This works well and just goes to show how dressing simple is sometimes the best way to go. Here are some of Johannes finest suiting moments.
Here is an outfit from H.E by Mango that is very Johannes
Johannes also has a great dress sense when it comes to casual wear proving he has a great all round dress sense and the term smart-casual is often associated with Johannes. Here are some of Johannes best smart casual looks.
Here are some items which will help you steal Mr Huebl’s style
This will be the first of many posts featuring people who I consider style icons and who have an influence on my style and how I dress. First up is David Beckham, he was the first major influence for me to make me interested in fashion and being a big sports fan it was an easy person to start with. While he is now a style icon of his own accord nowadays you have to give credit to his wife Victoria who set him on the right path to achieve this. While he has had a few fashion mishaps and lets be honest who hasn’t, he more often than not looks flawless in both casual and formal attire. He is also not the only designer in the Beckham household having brought out his own line of bodywear and swimwear with H&M and as expected was and still is highly successful to this day. He has also recently collaborated with Belstaff to bring out a collection of biker jackets. Here is a link to this collection http://www.belstaff.com/men/beckham-for-belstaff/
Here are a few of David’s finer fashion moments
I am going to pick two of these looks and I am going to show you where you can pick up some of Mr Beckham’s style at an affordable price and hopefully look just as good as he does.
First outfit is a casual one consisting of the check shirt, white tshirt, jeans and boots.
