As we all know trends come and go, but I want to talk to you about making the rest of the fashion pack green with envy! I have always been a fan of the colour Green. The many different shades of green make it a perfect colour to have all year round, but lets concentrate on Spring/Summer. The versatility of the colour makes it so easy to co-ordinate with base colours such as white, navy and grey. This seasons high street is full of many different shades of green and I am going to bring you my top menswear picks from the wide variety of stores available at Athlone Town Centre this season. There are some great menswear stores in Athlone Town Centreto help you keep your look on trend! All of these items can be worn in a casual manner or can also be smartened up to take you from day to-night. (more…)
As you know I recently attended and spoke as part of the Fashion and Beauty panel at the recent Irish Bloggers Conference in Dublin. Whenever I visit Dublin I always try to get some shopping done as I find the shops have a better selection available to everyone. This is my first haul post. Unfortunately there is no video as I am not confident enough to do a haul video just yet! I will also show you some stylish gifts I received for my birthday and one or two little things I bought for myself ;-). (more…)
I was invited to attend the Boohoo.com press preview for their S/S15 collection on Tuesday. The event was held in the Morrison Hotel on Ormond Quay in Dublin. It is a really stylish hotel and Burrell PR did a great job with the event. I didn’t know what to expect as it was my first press event but I was greeted by the lovely Leah from Burrell PR who showed me around and presented me with a goody bag and a drink from the drinks reception always a nice way to start an event! There was 2 rails for the mens collection it didn’t look like much but there was a lot of key pieces within that small space.
Many of the pieces I had already seen on both the website and the recent TV adverts. I found many pieces that I liked as I never imagined Boohoo sold classic or dapper pieces but I was pleasantly surprised. There was quite a few and also many trend inspired pieces. All the pieces were inspired by the city of Manchester, this is where Boohoo.com is based.
This knitted bomber jacket was one item that caught my eye prior to the event and I fell even more in love with it as it was exactly as it was described on the website, which isn’t always the case when buying online.
There was many other items that caught my eye and here they are for you to shop til you drop.
But the one item that I hadn’t noticed at first but was brought to my attention by one of the Boohoo reps was this Suedette Bomber Jacket. Everytime I went back to the rails I was automatically drawn to it. It is definitely on my must buy list especially when there was a €50 gift card in the goody bag. This was a very generous thing to do especially when it was already a privilege to check out this seasons collection.
Overall it was a good event and it was very well run and I hopefully look forward to attending another event like it in the near future, good job Burrell PR and Boohoo!!
