That time of year is finally upon us again, yes it’s Valentines Day. Love it or hate it, love is in the air this time of year. It gives people the chance to show the one they love, how much they appreciate them (I hope it’s not the only time of year they do it!). While the girls get flowers, chocolates and other gifts such as jewellery, the poor guys always seem to be hard to buy for. I am going to show you some great gift ideas to give to the man in your life this Valentines Day. (more…)
I was recently approached by an American website called Fanatics to style a Sports Luxe look using one of the Major League Baseball caps featured on their website. I was happy to accept for two reasons, one I love trying out new ideas for my blog and two I have always thought Sports Luxe would be a tricky look for me to style but I like a challenge!
Off I went in search of inspiration from magazines and the internet to see if I could find suitable pieces.I wanted to look for pieces that I would wear but would also be ideal for this look. First off I had to pick my Baseball cap to use for the look. I chose this Chicago Cubs Grey and Blue snapback cap. Even though I am more of an NFL fan I chose the Chicago Cubs cap because my sister Danielle spent a summer in Chicago. I also have many relations over there also making it a personal reason why I chose them.

So now that I have the cap picked, lets move on to the rest of the outfit. While getting inspiration I noticed that bomber jackets and fitted joggers were major players in this trend so I found these two perfect pieces.
I have already mentioned the bomber jacket from boohoo.com in a previous post as my pick of the preview that I attended. So I thought it was fitting to have it in the outfit. Its colour and texture make it a must have.
The Navy skinny joggers accompany this outfit perfectly and I feel the colours really compliment each other. The joggers give the outfit a nice tailored look
. I decided to put this White baseball polo shirt from River Island underneath the bomber jacket. I like the overall look of the polo shirt and the style was just fitting for the task in hand.
Finally to the footwear I have always been a big fan of Converse so these break point trainers were the perfect pair to add the finishing touches to my Sports Luxe outfit. I just thought the colour worked well with the look and complimented the rest of the pieces.
Hope you guys enjoyed the post and please provide feedback of the sports luxe look! To shop for a baseball cap like the one featured go to the baseball hat page on fanatics website.
