I was delighted to be invited to Pat O’Byrne’s Man’s Shop 35th Birthday celebrations by the lovely Sinéad Burke of the blog Minnie Mélange, coincidently this also happened to be my first event I had been invited to as a blogger so to say I was excited was an understatement. The shop is based on Market st in Trim in Co. Meath. The event was hosted by one of Ireland’s most stylish men Brendan Courtney of Lennon Courtney, so that made it even better. I brought my girlfriend Sandra to the event with me. She has been a huge supporter of my blog and I felt she deserved to go with me. We were greeted to a champagne reception and was greeted with great warmth by Pat. He really made us feel welcome even though it was my first time setting foot in his shop. This showed that he really stands behind his motto “personal service is our secret” and also why he has been in business for 35 years!!
I also had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca who also runs well-known blog Haute So Fabulous. We had a great laugh and plenty of fun was had by everyone. Plenty of blogging tips were discussed and fashion talk was also high on the agenda of course and the champagne wasn’t in short supply either! Having done my research before attending the event I wanted to find out what brands Pat stocked before I got there. There was 20% off everything in store on the night so there was a few bargains to be had. The shop caters to men of all ages. For the established fashion-conscious gentleman brands such as Gant, Magee, Baumler and Casa Moda were the brands of choice. For the younger man Remus Uomo, 6th Sense, Bugatti and Vichi were some of the brands available. Pat also has a wide range of wedding suits and accessories for any future grooms who need to be kitted out for their upcoming nuptuals.
Here are 2 pieces that caught my eye at the start of the night
As I mentioned earlier there was 20% off on the night so I thought why not make a few purchases and so I did thank god for pay-day!!
Here is what I bought
I was very happy with my new additions to my wardrobe and with the event overall. It was well run, had a great attendance and showed that local communities really support their own businesses. Pat O’Byrnes Man Shop really caters to everyone’s needs. I felt that if I walked in there again I could find something for my Dad, Brother, Uncle etc and I would know that I have bought them a quality item, that would be a fine addition to their wardrobe. Finally once again I want to thank Sinéad Burke for the invite. Pat, Rebecca and the rest of the O’Byrne family for the welcome I received and for the opportunity to meet Brendan Courtney. My shoes got Brendan’s seal of approval so happy days!! It was definitely worth the two and a half hour drive.
Here are a few more photos taken during the night.
