I recently attended the press preview for Boohoo.com’s autumn winter collection. The event was held in Soder+Ko on George’s St in Dublin. I was really looking forward to it for two reasons, 1 because I really enjoyed the last boohoo event and 2 I really wanted to go to Soder+Ko as I had heard only good things about it. I met Jessika from Chaos Wearing Lipgloss before the event, as I knew I would be arriving really early before the event! That is not like me as I like to be fashionably late 😉 I was really impressed with Soder+Ko and I loved the little oriental quirks, but sure what else would you expect from an oriental restaurant! The event was held upstairs in the restaurant and I was greeted with a very warm welcome by the boohoo.com reps. I was offered a wide range of cocktails and prosecco, but I chose the non-alcoholic one as I hadn’t been feeling well that week.
I also go the chance to catch up with Alex from the male-ing list. It’s always good to meet my fellow male fashion bloggers as there aren’t that many of us around Ireland.
Now to the clothes! One thing I have noticed over the years is that boohoo.com have tailored their range to suit everyone’s taste. I found that the menswear range was very much influenced by streetwear. I wouldn’t be a fan of streetwear because I find it doesn’t suit me. There was one rail of pretty much all streetwear and another with some classic and trend-led pieces. I found some great pieces that I can’t wait to buy! I really like their bomber jackets as they fit true to size. I bought a grey suedette jacket after the Spring/Summer preview in March and I am very tempted to get this Navy one when it becomes available online. There was also a tan suedette bomber on the rails and either of these jackets will be must haves in your wardrobe.
Boohoo have also added some nice tailoring pieces in a skinny fit, so I would probably recommend that you go a size up from what you would usually wear just to be on the safe side. Here is the blazer and waistcoat that was there on the day.
